Kumano Kodo: Part 2!

After a relaxing evening, we set off for the second day off our hike... (This post combines the second and third days - we took far too many photos of the beautiful nature).

This may look like a normal river, but if you dig into the pebbles the water becomes hot and you can form your own onsen!

After a long and tiring few hours, we reached this incredible viewpoint.

After a revitalising break, we carried on through the endless trees.

Until we reached the next viewpoint!

The beginning of the third day's hike was particularly hard. This was the information of the route.

Damage from the typhoons...

During the last few hours, the weather took a turn for the worse and we got pretty cold and wet.. But, finally, we made it to our ending destination! Nachi Taisha!

Apparently the tallest waterfall in Japan. Amazing. It was a fantastic trip and I'm so happy we finally made it. I love hiking!
