Sapporo

We finally made it to Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. Even though winter had technically finished, snow was still everywhere.

The two most important things on this trip were eating and drinking. We visited the Sapporo beer garden and drank a lot of beer...

The buildings in Hokkaido seemed to have much more of a European influence.

We made our way through all of the beers brewed by Sapporo.

We also visited a small town called Otaru. It was snowing whilst we walked along the canal (very European).

And we drank some more beer! This time it was brewed at a very small location, and we managed to see the beer being made.

Yummy crab pasta!

On our final day we visited Lake Shikotsu. The nature was stunning and the snow was genuinely taller than us in some places.

We ate a great lunch, visited the onsen and then went walking through the snow looking for wild deer!!

^ Spotted him?

 ^ And again...

The certainly kept their distance from us but it was an incredible moment.

Jonny then decided to build a snowman by the lake.

And, my leg fell in the snow!!!

A great great trip. All the food was amazing! I want to go back!
