There's Fuji-san himself peeking out from behind the clouds! We made a real holiday out of our Fuji climb, and spent about 5 days relaxing by Lake Kawaguchi. Our hotel was gorgeous and had a stunning view of the lake, and when he wanted to be seen, Mount Fuji.
From our bedroom and the hotel onsen we could see the incredible view. However, Fuji-san was very shy and rarely came out to see us. This just meant that the times he was visible were far more exciting. The lake itself was beautiful. And the area was far less humid than horrible horrible Osaka!
We really did do nothing but relax. We ate, drank, cycled around... Perfect. We even ate cookies for with this cool guy for breakfast one day.
And I tried to befriend a duck.
A beautiful place to relax and recoup. It was just what we needed!
We even rode a swan boat! So ridiculous, but very fun indeed.
